CHARLOTTE RONSON
FALL 2010

A spoonfull of 70's inspiration always goes down well with me. I absolutely love the hippie-luxe vibe of this collection. Beautiful florals contrasted against classic stripes, bold colours & beautiful prints in soft silks & fluid chiffons creates an irresistibly easy collection.

I HEART CHARLOTTE RONSON.

ALTUZARRA
FALL 2010 RTW

A highly provocative, powerful yet practical collection. Classic black jackets became alive as they were heavily embellished with black goat fur & over sized collars worn by the likes of Cruella De Vil. Skinny pants, fierce dresses & a stunning cat-suit all crafted in black leather were slashed & sewn adding an edgy touch to seemingly minimal pieces.
The collection presented an intoxicating infusion of gothic glamour & modern minimalism which no doubt will prove to be a potent success for rising designer Joseph Altuzarra.

THE CHANEL FARM YARD, SPRING 2010 PARIS

PEASANT INSPIRED PIN-UP MEETS CLASSIC PARISIAN GLAMOUR

The models at Chanel fluttered through a farm yard inspired catwalk with tousled hair and hay caught in their tweed suits as if they had just been caught having some cheeky fun with the boys in the barn. As Lilly Allen performed behind them, the models winked at the audience, spoke on their phones and flirted with each other while playing in the hay stacks.

The collection had a young, fun, flirtatious vibe to it. The classic Chanel tweed skirt-suits were shortened to appeal to Karl Lagerfeld's young market of the modern day fashion muse. Frou-frou blouses, delicate laces and sheer chiffon's were put together with cropped tweed jackets and cute clogs.

BOLD COLOUR-BLOCKING AT GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2010 PARIS

Photobucket

Giambattista brought us a fresh collection with clean structured silhouettes  embellished with feathers, frills and vivid bright colours in oranges, watermelon & emerald greens. Although structured and slightly reminiscent of the 1920s through the drop-waist silhouettes, the collection still held a slightly bohemian vibe.

MIROSLAVA DUMA

Photobucket

Miroslava Duma is so gorgeous, she seems so cute and quiet but has a subtle hard core edge to her style. I continously see her on my favourite blogs popping up but her name is never revealed. I love it that I never know what style I will see her in next. She may be ultra-refined-glamour one day & crazy-eclectic-vintage the next.

Girl, I love your style.
